Two Enamelists All Fired Up!

Portland, Oregon and Star, Idaho -  Artists -  Share Ideas!

Alisa Looney & I spent two days collaborating new ideas at her studio in Portland, Oregon.
We shared creativity in enamel techniques and thoughts on how to teach this glass-metal medium to others. Alisa and I originally met through our mentor in enamel John Killmaster in Boise.
Thank you John and Alisa for such inspiration....

We had a great time and are both looking forward to getting into our studios to teach and work!

 So much fun!

Succulents, Tulips & Irises...Must be Spring!

In Oregon this last weekend, I taught three different workshops back to back:

Going Green in Woodburn on March 2nd,

Here's one example above...

Mixed Media Terrific Tulips in Tualatin on March 3rd,

And, the new Painting an Iris in Tualatin on March 4th.

A couple of the artists' renderings...in progress

Whew!  Lots of teaching and lots of beautiful paintings!  Keep up the good work ladies...

Brushes and then Going Green for Idaho Falls...

I've been busy!
While spending so much time in Idaho Falls, I've taught several workshops there recently; one being the ever-helpful "Does the Brush Make a Difference?" workshop on February 17th.  And then the always fun "Going Green" workshop on February 3rd, which makes one think of spring by using different mixes to make luminous greens.

Here are some of the artists' examples...in progress

You all did a lovely job!
